Summary
Set up Store Types at a Global level. A Store Type is a grouping used to manage how stores are displayed within Brickwork, and you can use this feature to support the display of different kinds of stores to your customers.
The most common reason to use store types is to improve the ability to view stores in the Brickwork admin application so that you see these stores by region, department, or function. In addition, your Brickwork site may be customized with specific features by type.
Adding a New Store Type
Begin by logging into the Brickwork admin and navigating the the “Settings” section, then selecting "Global Content".
Once in Global Content, scroll down to the Store Types section:
Fill in the Title and Description or add a Default Image, then select "Add" on the right.
Note: The Store Type Default Image will apply to all stores assigned to that particular type, unless an individual store image is uploaded to that store from the store's settings, overriding the default.
Adding A Store Type to a Store
Once the Store Type is added at the Global level, you may adjust individual stores to fall into that type.
To begin, go to "Locations" in the sidebar, select the store you want to add a Type to in the drop-down menu, and select "Store Settings".
You will see a dropdown to add a store type on this page. Select the type from the dropdown menu, then make sure to select "Update Store Info" at the bottom.
What's Next
If your Store Locator allows it, customers have the ability to filter for specific Store Types on the front-end in the "All Stores" section.
Additionally, as an Admin, you can filter by Store Types in this section for easier navigation and categorization of your stores, as seen below.
